About Brookline, MA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Brookline, Massachusetts was first settled in 1638 and was at that time a hamlet of Boston known as Muddy River. It incorporated as a separate town in 1705. Brookline is perhaps best known as the birthplace of former president John F. Kennedy, but other famous residents have included landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, poet Amy Lowell, basketball player Larry Bird, novelist Saul Bellow, television commentator Barbara Walters and musician James Taylor. The John Fitzgerald Kennedy National Historic Site preserves the house at 83 Beals Street where JFK was born in 1917. The site, which is operated by the National Park Service, has been restored to replicate the way it appeared at time period. The NPS also operates the Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site, consisting of seven landscaped acres as well as the site where this renowned architect and designer of Boston's famous “Emerald Necklace” park system once conducted business. Brookline tends toward long, cold winters with temperatures dipping down into the teens, although summers are mild and pleasant and the mercury seldom rises above the mid-eighties. The town holds a daylong festival in September called Brookline Days, featuring crafts, local music, food trucks, inflatables, face painting, a rock climbing wall and a pie eating contest.
